Ericson, Sun, Apple..what does this mean?

Do you all remember when these three companies announced that they will be working together as some kind of wireless network type service. But since then we have had no announcements and or updates. This seems curious to me since it seemed like a big deal when they announced it. Apple won't get into the PDAs/Cell phones (since they are 2 of a kind these days)..maybe they will use ericson instead, and obviously Sun for their servers.



Maybe this will go along with the servers on tuesday (14th right?)...

    It's Ericson who's working on streaming on cell phones using Sun hardware for servers and QuickTime Streaming Server for the software.

    I doubt if we'll hear much more about this until MPEG-LA stops smoking crack.

    We probably will heard more about it after QuickTime 6 is released to the general public.
