Sony is an investor in Tivo. They create Tivo products

Perhaps Apple should buy SonicBlue...kill their other useless product lines and market an Apple DVR.

Imagine what Quicktime could do running a DVR STB.

Imagine what tie ins Apple could create with .mac and DVR functionality.

SonicBlue is ready to be delisted on the Stock Market. They'd be pretty cheap unless they have alot of debt.

Move quick Apple. This is a genuine opportunity.

Apple could purchase *both* SonicBlue and Tivo for $200 million + change.

The Replay and Tivo totally fit into the digital hub lifestyle. Upgrade them to run special versions of iPhoto and iTunes and allow them to network via AirPort.

Kevin you got that right. What do people do for cheap entertainment at home? They either surf the computer or watch the boob tube. Apple needs soom boob action.

Who doesn't need some boo-- ahem.

To put it simply, Steve does not "do" Television, nor will he ever, I suspect.

There have been lots of rumors that a DVR type device would be Apple's next digital hub addition. If introduced it will be at a special event, not at MWSF I believe.
