UPDATE: TransPod Test Drive

I took the TransPod out for a test drive this morning. Hookup to the cigarette lighter was easy finding an FM frequency that had no signal was impossible. There were two which had low level signals. I tuned the TransPod to one of them and it worked pretty well.... until the over the air signal came in stronger. It then interfered with the TransPod by adding hiss and static. I had to adjust the tuning wheel on the TransPod from time to time as it seemed to drift. Because most tuners in cars are digital you cannot go to the unused frequencies of .2, .4, .6, and .8.

My unit also was improperly wired and had the left channel coming out of the right speaker and the right out of the left.

I'm returning the unit.

I'm pretty happy with my iRock. I just chuck the iPod into the other seat and use the remote to change songs as needed. Anyone have any ideas what those iDock rumors are all about?

PS hope it works out for you!
