Where does iChat store its buddy list, its not in the com.apple.ichat.plist file and i cant find a file name in the plist file. I even check the package contents with no luck. Where the fsck can it be!?
Some of the buddy list is stored on AOL's chat servers, IIRC. It This is done so you can log in from any computer and have the same buddy list. AOL's Instant Messenger does the same thing.
iChat also uses any entries in your Address Book database that contain AIM names and adds them to your budy list.
Is this a new mac thing saying where the fsck is this or what the fsck are you on about? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" /> <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
Yeah, fsck is a good replacement when you aren't willing to strengthen your vocabulary with english words that could suitably or better convey your thoughs.

All of your buddies on your iChat buddy list are stored on AOL's servers. Any buddies that you added with iChat (as opposed to AIM) will also get corresponding contact cards in Address Book.

fsck is a unix command line disk utility. Since OS X is unix based, fsck makes a good replace ment for füçk.
