iMove 3 no longer compatible with old Apple list of DV Cams?

Question everyone. I have a JVC GR-DVL120U

Mini DV Cam. I have used it in the past with the other versions of iMovie. I just recently looked at Apple's website again for compatible cameras....alas, it it not listed anymore. I have not pulled any video from my camera since iMovie 2 and was wondering if this means that my camera will no longer work with iMovie? Or is Apple just trying to list the models that are brand spankin' new and trying to save everyone's eyes from a long list read? (it this be the case, they should have a new camera list, and then a complete listing of the cameras that will work..not to scare people like myself.) I have not installed iMovie 3, just got iMovie 3 on saturday, but was away from the house when it came..and just got around to looking up some info on it today. Please tell me I have not lost funcionality of the camera on iMovie..tell me I am just paranoid, and to have a stiff drink.. (but don't lie)

You're paranoid and you need to have a stiff drink.

Go ahead and try your camera, she'll still work. I think the list over at apple.com only represents the brand spanking new models.

Apple's list is only representative of models that they've tried: there are so many cameras out there that they'd be hard-pushed to try them all.

My Sony DCR-PC9E has never been listed, but it works just fine: as long the the camera supports the Firewire connectivity standards properly, you shouldn't have any problem.

Yeah, I have the Sony DCR-TRV 140 and it isn't listed on their camcorder compatibility list, but it sure as hell works great!

Given that iLink is essentially Firewire with purple cables, I wouldn't expect anything less.
