Question about QuickTime and Palm OS

Is it possible to save (encode) a movie within Quicktime, (.mov-.mpg) to the Cinepack Mobile format for Palm. I have tried to encode it as a Cinepack and Sorenson movie, then went to my HotSync manager, and it does NOT recognize the file format. I have used the Kinoma encoder, but would like to get out of this and use my own method. Have any of you successfully transfered any type of movie files to your Palm, by using your own method?
