I am new to the Mac world and have just purchased a G4 Sawtooth 350Mhz. I want to upgrade the processor and ask that anyone with knowledge of which vendors sell these upgrades and/or any advice for upgrading this system reply.

There is no such thing as a Sawtooth 350Mhz. The slowest Sawtooth model was a 450Mhz G4. You cannot upgrade the processor (as far as I know), you can add memory (check <a href="http://www.ramseeker.com)" target="_blank">www.ramseeker.com)</a> and the video card (best for this AGP 2x machine is the ATI 8500).

You can also add a hard drive on the unused ATA/66 slave connector above the factory installed drive.

There is, actually - it wasn't introduced with the first G4s in September '99, but later.

<a href="http://www.sonnettech.com/product/encore_st.html"; target="_blank">This</a> dual processor/500MHz upgrade should work. Whether it's worth it is up to you, of course.
