I wonder if a Harrison Think Different poster will come out.
They really should come out with a new series. I think its due and I think the timing of celebrating our heroes and the ones who have changed the world is perfect.
What's really strange about Apple doing a tribute to George Harrison is all the legal battles they went through. In the mid-80's, someone advised Harrison that he could sue Apple Computer because of a) advances in digital audio and b) similarity to the name Apple Records. Totally frivolous, because nobody has ever confused Apple Computer with Apple Records.
Thanks to Harrison, the Mac has always lagged way behind the PC when it comes to consumer audio; Macs were years behind in simply adding stereo output! It could even be argued that Harrison impeded Apple from taking an even more dominant position in professional audio.
They settled out of court in the mid-90's, though they haven't made public the details of the settlement.

I'm really mad right now. Just came from ArsTechnica, and there's a 7 page thread in the Battlefront there saying how this is a profiteering move on Apple's part, how they always use dead people in their ads so they can't sue, and how it's out of greed, not respect, that Apple has George Harrison on their front page.
Yes, I'm sure TONS of people are going to be inspired to buy a new Mac just because Apple shows Harrison on their page. After all, it's done out of greed, right?
Nothing at all to do with the fact that this guy played a MAJOR role in shaping the culture and lives of MILLIONS of people through his talents.

I'd be WAY more upset if Apple DIDN'T do anything to acknowledge his passing or pay some small tribute.
We're not talking ****in' Sugar Ray or Limp Bizkit or whatever lame-ass flavor of the month getting shoved down our throats.
It's the Beatles, for crying out loud, and their contributions and influences are going to outlast ANYONE currently appearing on the charts and TRL.
