Cox High Speed Inernet in San Diego

Does anybody have an opinion on using Cox for high speed internet access? What are your opinions on their Mac tech support and the available Mac software compatability? Did you self-install or have a QUALIFIED tech do the installation? I am thinking of switching from Pacbell DSL to Cox since they just jacked my rates and their service seems to be getting slower and slower. Thanks for any input.
