I have heard that Yosemite will do away with iPhoto.  Does that mean that all of the photos I currently have on iPhoto will be lost??  How will the new Photo App work?  Thanks, Maria

    Yep. Well, no; Apple’s doing away with it, regardless of OS.

    ‘Course not. Your iPhoto/Aperture library will be upgraded to a Photos library when the software starts existing.

     



    How will the new Photo App work? 


     

    Well, here’s iOS 8’s bit on it, but that hardly covers what the desktop version will be.
