Google Chrome Ibook G4 6,7
Hey guys, I am new to the forum. I was working on my mothers boyfriends computer recently and was wondering if I can install Google Chrome on there for him. He now has Safari on his ibook G4 6,7. It is quite a cool little book I must say. I am no computer wiz but I do like Chrome over the others as far as speed, I know Firefox is a favorite of developers but not fast enough for my old system.
The issue for him is that he is on Dial-up, yeah I know, anyhow, I would like to speed it up for him if possible. Maybe not much but would Google Chrome work on this machine? and yes I know to download the Mac version. Thanks in advance.

Buy him some broadband. Even one of those mobile data connections would be better than dial-up:

Apple switched processors from PowerPC to Intel x86. Very few software packages are maintained to run on PPC any more. Apple switched to Intel in 2006, the first release of Chrome was in 2008.
Speeding up the connection would be the best thing to do first, dial-up is horrible on any machine and browser. An upgrade to an Intel machine would be a good idea too. It's possible to get older machines on eBay:

but Apple's latest machines aren't far off those prices and have a full warranty:

Thanks guys, I found out the thing about the Googe Chrome not working and yes he needs to get a wireless card, but he won't lol, cheap, and not working.
