Help updating multiple computers!

So I need a better way!

 

What I really want to do is download the update package (.PKG? .DMG?), copy it to a USB stick, and run the update locally either from the USB or copied to the hard drive.

 

BUT:

- What is the download file called????? (name/kind)

- Where is it?

I know once I install it disappears, but I should be able to capture it before I actually run the update.

 

These machines are all at 10.7.5, downloading like 6 small items.

 

Note: perhaps this is easier with OS X Server on one machine? But that would need a whole budget and PO, so while that might be possible in the future (and I would indeed like to know about it) it won't help me now.

These instructions should help you to get installer packages from the App Store to be able to install them:

OS X Server is a download on the App Store too though and installs on top of OS X, you don't need to get another machine.
