As some of you know, I am going to be going on a trip durng Spring break and I am going to take my digital camera. the problem is that I only have an 8MB CF(compact flash) card and that will last me about 2 days of pics... the easy solution would be to d/l the pics onto a friend's computer or something, but that is not going to happen... So I need to look into CF cards... anyone have any prefered brand or place to buy? I need it by thursday. Thanks.

Is Ebay good?

You might want to consider IBM's microdrive solution if battery life isn't a major concern. You can get a 1GB compact flash form for under $500.

You can probably find a 128mb card at a place like Fry's for $40 or so on sale. Those IBM Microdrives are find if you need the absolute maximum possible size on a card, but their cost-per-megabyte is not that great.

I ordered a 256MB CF from <a href="http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com/display_products.cfm?category=Compact Flash&quot; target="_blank">these guys</a>. The CF I got is quite a bit faster than the SanDisk CF my camera came with.

With 96 MB I can fit around 700 640x512 images on a single card. With my C-2500L anyway...

i know that Lexar Media is one of the leaders of CF technology. They have 512MB and I think 1GB soon.
