Yelp adds outdoor activities, florists, nightclubs & more to direct booking options
Yelp this week introduced five new business categories users can transact with via its website and mobile apps, including outdoor activities, florists, nightclubs, spas and salons, and even legal advisors.
For the outdoors Yelp has partnered with Vimbly to allow bookings from over 5,000 different businesses specializing in activities like paddleboarding and skydiving. Through another partnership, with GolfNow, Yelp users can also book tee times at golf courses.
Flower orders are possible through a deal with BloomNation, while spa and salon bookings are thanks to an agreement with Vagaro. A partnership with TableList will let Yelp users book tables or VIP bottle service at nightclubs.
Arrangements for legal advice are being handled through LegalZoom. That company isn't a lawfirm, but is scheduling free consultation meetings with lawyers.
Apart from the web, the new options should be available in Yelp's mobile apps for iOS, Android, and Windows. The iOS app is a free download for any device with iOS 7.0 or later.
