Need a new "computer" chair

Hey fellow Appleinsiders, I am moving into a new home and need a new chair. I would love to get the Aeron, but it's kind of out of my budget. I am willing to spend up to 300 dollars. So, any suggestions? Or should I save my pennies and get an Aeron or Leap chair?

I would love to hear personal experiences with the Aeron, Leap chair, or any other great chairs.

On a side note, I use a plain wood table as my main computer desk. I find that a plain ol'wooden desk from Kmart fits my needs. What desk do you use/how much/and opinions? Again I would love to get an Anthro workbench or a Biomorph desk.

You need a chair that commands respect and power.

    You need <a href="http://www.concept40.com/eas/contimission/captains-chair.jpg"; target="_blank">THIS chair</a>.

*a cookie to the first person to identify that chair!

i have an aeron and this is THE chair... when you use one you never go back ! they are pretty expensive but if you - like me - past a lot of time behind a screen, go for it yo won't regret it. I suggest you to take the 'full-option' chair.

I used to use this big red leather chair at work. It was great.

I second the Aeron chair. While I was at the MIT Media Lab, it was like the only chair they had, and I got sort of addicted to it. I'll be getting one in May

That is the chair in my personal observatory. Starfleet how did you get that picture?

Cameras are not allowed in my observatory....

Well, I'm a laptop user, so I just bought a big recliner (one that will help my back, too) from Jordan's Furniture. They had to custom build it, though, so it hasn't arrived yet. Hopefully, I'll get it this week. Then I'll be very happy.

It rocks, swivels, reclines- it's an excellent chair. I'm looking forward to actually getting to use it.

If you really want to Think Different, get a good drummer's throne (Roc n' Soc, despite the terrible name, make <a href="http://www.rocnsoc.com/products.html"; target="_blank">good ones</a>). They're comfortable, adjustable, and incredibly rugged. The only drawback is that (for obvious reasons) they don't come with casters.

The one I use doesn't have a backrest (and it doesn't need one - the way the seat's molded provides plenty of support), I can just step over it and sit down.

At the Hilton. The space bar had $1.00 Miller Lite on tap. Can't beat that. Go see Ubaldo or Dane. They'll set you up.

Neither my 'space bar' nor 'tab' have any thing for $1.00. Lousy keyboard.

    ROTFL.

I share your disappointment, Fran. Thank goodness my kitchen fridge is only steps away. I'll keep my thoughts about the quality of Miller Lite to myself though.
