Life Is Good.

I'm sitting on my deck right now looking at the stars, having a cup of tea, my dog curled up at my feet, and surfing the net with Airport.

This is just great.

Listening to Joe Satriani here, going back and forth between a few websites right now. Entourage is checking email every 5 minutes for me, and I've just had a couple come in from friends I haven't talked to for some time. Fired off some replies right away, instead of waiting a day or two like my lazy ass usually does.

I've also got MSN Messenger running (hey don't flame me, all my dumb friends that chat use this) and have had a couple of friends say a quick hello. Very cool.

I don't know, nothing that great to write about, and it probably didn't deserve a thread, but what the hell. I'm just sitting here thinking this technology is really cool, and I felt like sharing.

Oh man, iTunes is running random - haven't heard Rory Gallagher for a looong time. "Bulldog Blues". Cool.

OK, I'll quit typing. I just got an email.

EDIT - ASS is censored? Come on...

Sounds great murbot. That's how I've felt ever since I got Airport last week.

I felt the same way when I got AirPort. Then I decided to get a life.

This censorship thing is really getting out of hand. Ass? Come on! What's next? Buttock? Mule?

Ass is not censored by networks for example.

Oh, and btw, Airport rocks! I got it with my Pismo, and I can't even imagine life without it now. I've got my base station right plugged into my router which is plugged into my cable modem.

My Airport serves my PowerBook G3/500, a PowerBook 1400 G3/400, an iMac G3/500, an iMac G3/233, and a Dual Processor Power Mac G4/500. It is an excellent device.

I forgot to mention that I do have one problem with Airport... I can't use my 2.4GHz cordless phone while using Airport.

Are there any 2.4GHz phones that'll work?

Hey murbot, am I right in remembering that you said you got a new house recently? If so, our lives are running parallel. I just got a TiBook with airport, and a new house with a deck. Yes, life is good. Now I'm waiting for the pool table to arrive in a few weeks.

Pool table? Well, your life is just a tad better than mine I guess.

But yeah, we're waiting to move into the new house in a month or so. I was actually on the deck of my current place last night, but in a month of so it'll be one 3 times the size with a nice view... can't wait.

I have the same prob. with my 2.4GHz phone. What usually works for me is to switch the channel on the phone while using it, and within a few seconds airport will be back up.

would be enjoying the wonderful senefits of airport, if I could get the stupid thing to work right.

<a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin"; target="_blank">I posted in genius bar</a> but haven't gotten any useful replies. If any of you could check out the specifics of my problem and offer some help, that would be fantastic. I am hoping that linking to the thread from here, I might catch the attention of someone who can help me, since simply posting in genius bar has done me no good.

Nah, I've just wanted a pool table forever. We actually looked for a house with a room big enough for it. Now if we only had a kitchen...

And by the way, the pool table was about the same price as the Ti 800, but should last about 100 years longer.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try next time I'm on the phone.
