Will the Apple Pencil work with iPad Pro's Homescreen menu?

Since the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus both have 3D touch capabilities to use different features in the homescreen menu and applications, is it possible to use the pressure sensitivity of the Apple pencil and enable those functionalities on the iPad Pro?
