Apple adds more launch locations for iPhone 6s, Apple Watch on Oct. 22 & 23 [u]
Apple on Thursday laid plans to ship the iPhone 6s and Apple Watch to still more countries toward the end of October, on top of other recently-announced rollouts. [updated]
The Apple Watch will arrive in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on Oct. 22, according to local storefront updates. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, meanwhile, will arrive in Belarus, Guam, Moldova, Serbia, and Ukraine on Oct. 23, MacRumors noted.
The Watch is already scheduled to hit several countries, like Belgium and Brazil, on Oct. 9 and 16. Apple's iPhone 6s schedule is even more aggressive, with rollouts to 40 more regions on Oct. 9, 6 markets on the 10th, and India, Malaysia, and Turkey on the 16th.
The 6s and 6s Plus are due to reach over 130 markets by the end of 2015, which will require extra launches through November and possibly into December.
Apple has been less definitive about Watch plans, except to say it wants greater availability ahead of the holiday shopping season. To that end the company has been adding both new countries and new retail partners in existing areas.
Update: The Watch is also set to debut in Chile and South Africa on Oct. 23.
