What Cell Phone Brandes do Mac users choose?

A while back I was reading some posts on how a lot of Apple users happen to own Voltswagon Cars... which is cool because VW has style. Most of us Mac users buy Apple because of the overall apperance and how well it actually works. Now I was wondering what kind of cell phones do Apple owners use since they tend to stay with things that are more stylish.

I use the Samsung - Model SCH-T300.... my main reason for this phone was its overall design, but it also has many features and a nice phat display. The Display is super nice has animation along with some cool games, that are more like the orginal Gameboy.

I drive a VW Jetta! It's black, fast and looks tight.

I have a Sprint PCS phone (made by some weird little company). It's silver, sleek light and sexy! ;0)

    I have a 2002 TiBook 667 with 768 GB RAM and Airport

I want a PDA, but I will wait until after MWNY02

Sprint phones are the coolest, but I hate sprint. No, I HATE sprint. I've got a Siemens S40 right now. Neat little phone. Simple, solid lines. Elegant, like my TiBook. PDA? I'm using a newt until something makes me give it up.

Whoa this is funny because I've been thinking lately about what kind of car I want and Volkswagon was high up there on the list. Anyway I have a Nokia 8290. It's pretty cool because it's very small and very thin plus and can change the faceplates on it. Whoever said Sprint has the nicest phones is definitely right. I also like the Motorola v.60 but I'm going to wait awhile before I buy another phone and Nokia may have something even better by then.

When I bought my phone just over four years ago, it was probably the most stylish one Sprint had I have a Motorola StarTAC, digital only, not the dual band.

And I'd like to let it be known that I *hate* Sprint too. There just isn't another carrier I'd rather be with right now...

    Thats really scary,

I always thought that my ibook would look the cutest with a silver VW Passat, with the cute circular brake lights. Silver and silver I have a Nokia phone, its not the greatest but it is pretty.

This is a bit off topic, but it's similar... yesterday when I was working at the grocery store I saw a woman open a little case to get out a pen, and inside the case was a really cool looking PDA. It looked almost exactly like a small TiBook, with the same color, same square lines with rounded edges, same hinge. Just before she closed it I caught a glimpse of the logo and realized it's a Handspring.

If I get a PDA (which is a possibility eventually) I'd like it to look like that. Those old Palms looked really OLD, but this one was really cool.

I just got the free phone when I set up with AT&T. I got it because it was free and you can still make calls with it. Plus it was free.

btw, we should probably hide this thread from tiger... he seems to get jealous whenever we start talking about our cell phones ;-)

The HandSpring you saw was the Visor Edge. Believe it or not, it is actually thicker than the Palm Vx, which is was set to compete against. I'd of bought an Edge if they shipped it with a colour screen... HS dropped the ball on that one.

They're moving their Visor models to incorporate the design characteristics of their new Treo line of handhelds, not all of which are also a mobile phone. I'd hold off on purchasing a handheld until Palm OS 5 savvy handhelds ship. And take a look at the Sony Clié's

Nokia Nokia Nokia Nokia... and Nokia

I've tried Moto, samsung, Panasonic, and Ericssons... They ease of use of Nokia and style of the phones is still top notch. Sometimes they are a few features short of competition, but Nokia is just great in general.

I blame Nokia as the reason why I hear 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' and 'Take Me out to the Ballgame' in public all the time prior to someone answering their cell phone. They should burn

Gotta agree. Sprint phones ARE cool. But just like everyone else here I HATE sprint. But then again, is anybody ever actually HAPPY with their cell company? They all have things we don't like.

I am actually really happy with cingular. They're my 3rd carrier and I haven't got anything to complain about. Great rates, never had a dropped call and reception is highly acceptable. It may be that my phone is really good too, but I don't think that's it.

ps - watch me have nothing but problems now.

I have a Sprint Samsung flip phone and I love it. What's with all the Sprint PCS bashing anyway?

I also have an AT&T Nokia 3360 with a metalic grey/titanium looking face plate. Gotta love the Nokia 'cause it's got Snake II and Space Impact

By the way, I got that face plate cause it matches my car color pretty well

I have a Samsung phone with Sprint PCS. I've never had a problem with Sprint for coverage or service other than the fact that if you call up customer support you get put on hold for 40mins. I'm looking at getting the new Samsung A460 phone soon. I like the idea of having some PIM features in my phone.

Try dealing with Sprint's customer service in any way, shape, or form. It will make you want to die young.

Sprint customer support sucks big time. But their service isn't that bad, and if you do finally get through to customer service you can bitch a lot and get your monthly bill lowered by saying that you're going to switch services because another company is $5 or so cheaper.

I have the Sprint PCS Touchpoint 2200. It's a great phone, very easy to use. Everyone of my friends has a Nokia and they all think my phone is easier to use. It's a good size(not dinky and not 80's style), and sounds really good. I'm not sure if sprint still offers it though.
