I pray that Apple doesn't succomb to this garbage. This is going to destroy PC's. If Apple thinks it can hit %20 marketshare then they'd better be ready to take on legions of infuriated PC users who object to Microsith forcing them to have an internet connection 24/7 to use your 'puter.

It is quite obvious with the latest Windows hooks that M$ wants to track everything that PC users do to their computer. Most PC users are not aware of this intrusion. Those who do know, are furious about how their system shares information with M$ every time they use the Internet.
Yes, if M$ continues down this path, Apple will definitely benefit. Personal intrusion is something that Americans will not tolerate. One of the companies that I do business with switched to PCs 4 years ago are now switching to Sun because of the headaches they have dealing with unwanted M$ Internet traffic.
Now if Apple would only make a Portable computer I wouldn't have to use PCs at all.

Doesn't Apple already make two (that compare very well to available PC counterparts) for the choosing:

Portable computers ( NOT Laptops ) have card slots.
