Syncing Playlist from iMac to iPhone is Faulty

I like to put my podcasts into a playlist.

I subscribe to 5 podcasts.

I will then take an episode from each podcast and place it into the playlist so that the playlist has one episode from each of the 5 podcasts.

This is all done in iTunes on the iMac.

The problem lately is that when I sync the iPhone via the LIghtning connector, I will only get one or two of the podcasts showing up in the playlist on the iPhone.

Any ideas on why I am not getting the full playlist on the iPhone that appears on the iMac?
