Do Apple stores sell beverages?

Not having an Apple store here in Canada, I haven't seen one apart from the pics posted around the web.

Do the stores sell and drinks of any kind?

It just seems like it might be nice to have a cup of coffee while you're browsing through the store for an hour or so.

Obviously the place to buy one would be at the Genius Bar

I've never been to one but I think I remember reading somewhere that they have a little refrigerator at the Genius Bar where they sell bottled water.

They gave it away for free. You just had to ask. As recently as MWSF they were giving everyone free bottles during the Keynote broadcast. I heard they stopped giving them out though, it was costing too much.

But they definitely don't sell any beverages.

They used to give out water but I think that 'deal' is over and done with.

Instead, Apple has now introduced .Water, for $99 a year you are entitled to all the Evian you can drink at any of the 31 Apple stores across the country.

Unfortuneately, if you just want tap water, you still have to pay $99 a year.

The corporate Mac offices have visitor-friendly breakrooms, but if you've made your way to one of these offices it's for business purposes or a paid seminar....there's not a GAP or Neimann Marcus down the hallway...so consumers don't wander through very often...

Back when the rumors of Disney buying Apple were rampant so were rumors of an Apple Retail Store. We bandied about the ideas of what we thought the stores should look like, and what they should do. Almost everybody agreed that a coffeehouse was a great idea. I saw something like a Caribou Coffee, tricked out with Macs.

    Cut to two years later:

What they've actually done is more sterile, but it certainly doesn't confuse shoppers....this is a COMPUTER store...which is what they're all about in the first place. Kind of like a Brookstone, only with Macs and Mac-accessories and compatible gear.

Maybe an eMac set up with some specialized software

You would put money in to it and then it would despense the drink. While it is being poured, it would ask you questions..... this software is called....... iCaf(fine)....

Also, parents looking their kids sleep is weird...i mean all night

I think I read this on Think Secret..

Supposedly the Evian water bottles given out at the Genius Bar were special 11 oz. bottles because the 12 oz. ones were too large to fit in the small fridges. Rumor was that the bottles were actually specially made for Apple to fit in those fridges. Hah! Too expensive indeed...
