Why did Apple not put the Second Generation Touch Id in the 9.7" iPad Pro ?

Why do you guys think that Apple did not include the Second Generation Touch Id in its 9.7" iPad Pro even when the Technology was available since Apple Put it in the iPhone 6s ? Any thoughts ? Do you guys think that Apple will implement the Second Generation Touch Id in its next iteration ? Or with the new design rumors about Apple completely doing away with the Home Button we might see a all together new technology with home button and so the touch Id ? It still really baffles me !! why did Apple not put the Second Generation Touch Id in its 9.7" iPad Pro even when the technology was available with Apple. What do you guys say about this ?

    1) Either they are saving that for a future update as a USP.

    2) OR they were concerned with costs?
