Should I go with GeForce 4MX or ATI 9000

I plan to buy a new PowerMac (to finally replace my 233 MHz beige G3). I am going with the low end model and I was wondering if I should spend the extra cash to purchase the ATI 9000 video card or should I just keep the GeForce 4MX that is standard.

Thanks in advance.

I just bought the 867 DP.

I was thinking the same thing, but I decided to go with the GeForce MX until the ATi 9700 comes out. I think this will be far more valuable if you need a good card, and you can always sell the 4MX on eBay to make up some of the price difference.

That is just my opinion though.

Based on things I've read on PC hardware sites, I'd say the Radeon 9000 Pro, it's definitely a better video card in its features and performance. I don't know how much truth this information carries over to the Mac side, so this may not apply. If you want to read a review of how the Radeon 9000 Pro tested on PCs, go to <a href="http://www.tomshardware.com"; target="_blank">http://www.tomshardware.com</a>; and look in the graphics section for the 9000 series review.
