I reckon you'd be better off with the DP. The difference is only 66Mhz (plus a whole additional processor) and the RAM WILL make a difference (even if the processors can't fully support the DDR solution). The DP come with 10.2 which alone is $100, so that is incentive in itself.
Duals also hold their value A LOT better than single processors, if you wanted to upgrade in the future.
