Benchmark question
ok, we all know that benchmarks can be shown so that either side is supposedly faster.
what i want to know is why macs with G4 chips constantly spank PC's on the dnet client. dnet, as far as i know is the most intensive thing you can run on your computer.
if it's so much faster at dnet then why can't it be faster at all these other apps?
is it a limit of when altivec can be used? is it that the computer is waiting and not using the procerssor a bunch of times?
just want to know, doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.
