What's in a name?

I don't know about the rest of you,, but I tend to anthropomorphize my computers. I give them names, and I swear to god they have personalities.

My current computer (iBook 600 14") is named Seth (pronounced "Set") after an egyption god of chaos.

My previous computer (iMac 333 Tangerine) was named "Hactar" after a computer in HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy that was so powerful it could reform matter (I was upgrading from a 6100).

Do you computers have names? If the do, tell us what it is and why! Fun!

P.S. the voices in my head told me to tell you that I am not crazy.

I think there is a similar post, but they didn't ask why.

Litt'l Cray. The first computer I bought. A beige G3. The first system that could play DVD's. I got the fastest system I could and it screamed. Named after the more powerful Cray supercomputers the CIA has.

Portabella. A sleek, sexy portable computer I use for school and E-Mail. (Note: School ranges from Advanced Photoshop to CAD to DV Editing).

Portabella Jr. Is actually a PeeCee I cannibalized by ripping out all the cables and adding a 80Gb hard drive and CD burner. Both drives have firewire adapters, and connect to Portabella through a firewire cable, effectively transforming it to a desktop whenever I need it.

Porthos. As seen on Enterprise. My Mom is a dog person. I bought a cheep 8100, loaded her common applications and set it up just for her. I guess the name is coincidence.

Don't Panic 2. DP2 is a PeeCee, that I had to get to play PC games. I don't like it much, but can honestly say that I don't have many problems with it. If you want to know what happened to Don't Panic 1, read the paragraph above. I still prefer Litt'l Cray at everything except games.

The 6100 is, you guessed it, a PowerMac 6100/60. I set it up as a FTP, WEB, Appletalk, MP3, and AIM/chat server. I got this computer to automatically open all the programs and start the servers without a user. All I do is push the on button, and walk away. Soon, I won't even have to do that.
