Jack's Apartment Special: Everything $5!

Ok, I have so much crap that just is not fitting in my new apartment, and it has to go, and I don't really care how. Everything $5! I don't want to ship this stuff anywhere, so I would prefer someone in Boston, or willing to drive here.

A definitive list of crap that must go away...

o Silicon Graphics Indy (R4400SC, 500MB, 64MB)

o Silicon Graphics Indy Present er Flat Panel (alone)

o Silicon Graphics Indy Presenter Adapter Daughtercard

o Silicon Graphics Indigo 2 (Teal) Bare Bones (Needs SCSI hdd, RAM. Sold as is. It takes power fine and plays the startup chime)

o Silicon Graphics Video Card (Elan I believe?) pulled from a working Indigo 2.

o Motorola StarMAX 3000 with Sonnett G3 300MHz I think upgrade. Has some RAM and a hdd. Boots into OS8. This thing was given to me, I booted it once, and shoved it in the corner with EVERYTHING ELSE ON THIS LIST.

o Power Macintosh 6100 (Maxxed out RAM, DOS Card, 500MB hdd)

o Power Macintosh G3 Beige (466MHz, XLR8 ZIF, 192MB/4GB/FireWire) - Maybe a little more than $5 for this?

o Nikon Coolpix 990 Digital Camera (No memory card)

o 3Com Cable Modem (works, may even still be provisioned on RCN's cables - They forgot to ask for it back *two* years ago. A year after the modem was supposedly disabled, it still worked. It's still a cable modem either way)

o Random SCSI hard drives, none exceeding 4GB. I'll give you all of them for free if you just show up and take them

o Linksys Print Server - 3 Ports

o Assorted ADB and PS/2 keyboards and mice. Please, just take them

o Apple 14" Color CRT. Again, just TAKE this one I may even pay YOU. It works fine, resolution up to 1024x768.

There may be some other crap, if you just show up, you can take almost anything. *Almost* Oh, and I just found a 6GB externally mounted hdd. This was used on an Avid way back when 6GB wasn't too bad... it is NOT an Avid drive however.

I live in the Back Bay Fens, I can almost spit on Fenway Park (God knows I've tried)... email me jack at mac3d dot com. If anyone wants to drop by, afternoons or early mornings work best. Evenings do as well, unless I'm in the studio. *shrugs* Email me, I can give you my #, and we'll figure something out.

If you REALLY want something here, but want me to ship it, email me, and if you're really nice, I'll consider it

[Edit - I keep finding crap, added it to the main list...]

    Model number is: 3CR29220

It looks like a shark fin (and as cool as that sounds, it really isn't. Admittedly, it is still more visually pleasing than the Toshiba cable modem they *tried* to give me.)

I even have a box for it... though not the original box. It is the box the new 3Com modem they gave me came in.... same model, just has USB as well as RJ-45.

If you want it, it's all yours for $25!

Also, I have a Power Macintosh Beige G3. 466MHz XLR8 upgrade, something like 192MB of RAM, 4GB hdd, and a FireWire card I think. *shrugs*. Obviously, I'd kind of like a little more than $5 for this, but you know, whatever

Oh, and any road cyclists out there? I have a Spinergy Rev-X carbon fiber wheel from 2000. It is in excellent shape, perfectly in true. It is the front wheel, comes with Spinergy skewer, and it is a clincher.

    $150 obo

Hey I will take that cable modem off your hands you can find my email address along with instant messenger contacts on the frontpage of my site so give me an email with your address so I can mail you a check and if you can please give me your phone number we can just finalize this over the phone that would probably be easier if you have paypal or any thing I can pay that way also.

I think I should probably mention that the Nikon 990 is definitely not in the $5 category. I've got a hell of a hangover and didn't think about it The 990 would sit in the same price range as the beige G3. Foot a few franklins for it and shipping is on me

Groverat posted interest in the beige g3, and for him, I'll ship it. Basically, I'm trying to avoid shipping anything heavy...

    1) I don't want to carry a computer a five blocks to the T and then to a shipping center.

    2) I'm lazy

Someone is interested in the whole damn lot too, so like, if anyone was interested in anything specific, better get your emails in now. Seriously, I want this crap out of my apartment I need this stuff like I need another glass of Jack Daniel's - Actually....

figured that the 990 wasn't five ...email me a price....was planning on getting the nikon 4500 for x-mas....currently have no digital camera...use my 20 yr old nikon (love that camera) and then scan photos....but no drivers in X for my scanner, and lately i refuse to go to 9....g

Yeah, a Nikon isn't just a camera.... it's a Nikon. It's like an entirely different kind of camera. Kind of like how Lance Armstrong isn't JUST a cycling... he's Lance Armstrong.

Looking for about $300 on the Nikon. It's a nice camera, I just never shoot digital. Takes standard CF memory, AA batteries, like all Nikon cameras of that design, and I don't have a USB cable for it.... so you'll need to find one or use a CF card reader.

BTW, Jonathan gets first dibs on the 990 for being so crazy cool and all that ass and a bag of fritos. Should Jonathan decline the offer, the 990 will go to the next lucky guy 'round here.

Also, all the SGI equipment, the StarMAX, the 6100, SCSI drives, Print Server, random keyboards, and the Apple 14" CRT have been claimed. So like, whatever is left, I'm still taking bids on? Sounds great!

[EDIT: I have a 32MB SO-DIMM sitting in the closet. Useless, you can have it if you want. Comes in a nice static-proof bag and cushioned crucial box. I can't find anyone else that will even take it. Maybe I can strip the small ammount of gold off of the connectors and sell it for a buck... <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> ]</strong><hr></blockquote>

Umm...hit reply instead of delete. My eyes hurt...leave me alone.

[Edit on that edit...on that edit...er reply...I meant edit not delete. AHHH!

applenut, for you, I can hook you up with a 6GB SCSI drive... the one that used to be hooked into an old Avid. It isn't an Avid drive, but it's pretty fast. Mounted in an external enclsoure, centronics db50 connectors on the back. I'll even sign it for you... "To applenut, with love"
