What would the Dell Dude be pulling in a year?

With 4.5 billion smackers in the bank, surely Apple could woo this guy away from Dell...... imagine a Switch ad campaign featuring none other than the slack jawed Dell guy. Could even have a little Ellen Feiss romance angle in there...

Now THAT would be a well noticed Switch ad.

Discuss.

    LOL!

I'm not sure how well they would mesh, with his hyperactivity, and her, well, sluggishness...

If only Apple had 45 billion smackers in the bank, my shares would have been worth a hell of a lot more, I might hae kept 'em. Oh well.

It's hard to think that Dell could have forseen the "Switch" campaign, but I'm sure there were a slew of stipulations added to the Dell Guy's contract to prohibit that kind of defection.

If not, it'd be one hell of a guerilla marketing strategy.

While I like the "Switch adds" there's just no way that most of them are 100% legit. You can practically feel the majority of the "switchers" doing their best Jeff Goldblum intonation. I bet they're mostly long time mac fans who saw an opportunity for mac geek fame.

I'm not really sure they'r even good ads. Do they really reach people or just entertain mac geeks? Dell's ads are much heartier in a good ole American, "open your wallets," kinda way.

it would break all the little girls hearts, the ones that secretly had a crush(ooh don't tell) on the dell guy, and so the convinced their dads to but a dell for the family computer. now they like to use theit computer to go to dell.com and look at pictures of the dell guy.

okay, maybe braking their hearts is a good thing. . .

$45 billion is approximately what Microsoft has in the way of cash reserves.

Very true. Get his mother to do a switch add.
