Sony Benefits From Increased Orders For Apple iPhone 7 And Galaxy S7

Apple is increasing its production orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to take advantage of Samsung’s global recall of the Galaxy Note 7.
Not to be outdone, Samsung is also increasing production orders for its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones. Sony supplies image sensors to Samsung and Apple’s flagship phones.
Sony’s image sensor business benefits from this increased productions of high-end Apple and Samsung phones.
The iPhone 7 has two image sensors from Sony. Chipworks estimate that Apple spent $26 for the camera modules of the iPhone 7.
Ming-Chi Kuo estimates that Apple will sell 70-75 million iPhone 7 phones before 2016 ends. Another analyst, Lee Seung-woo, has a 100 million estimate
