Why I hope Apple doesn't get rid of the aluminum shell

Just saw this article regarding how the new Galaxy S8 fared with a drop test compared to the iPhone. While both phones survived drops, the back of the samsung completely shattered when dropped from just 3 feet. Glass might be pretty, but I'd far rather have the aluminum back!
