iBook for sale.....

Sorry I have to say this, but I need to sell my iBook. Layoffs are coming sometime mid-late November, and I will probably be one of the first to go. I just started with this company 4 months ago...and we (new people) are usually the first to go. The employment situation here in Austin is horrible at best

My iBook is less than 2 months old.

G3 700 14" iBook

256 ram

Airport Card

Airport Base Station

All told, I have more than $2300 invested. I would be willing to accept $2000 obo. I'll give some of you folks the chance before I put it in the local paper.

I also have a mountain bike for sale. It is a Giant Iguana with front suspension. It will include a trunk carrier that looks like a roof rack. I have $750 invested, and will accept $550 for both. The bike is 3 months old.

I will pay for shipping within the continental US, will split shipping outside the US.

    Well.

I don't recommend you to sell your iBook because uou can use it for freelance work when you are job hunting...........assuming this IS your ONLY machine

I am not in an industry where I do freelance work. I do have another computer in the house, so for job hunting, this is not an issue.

Why don't you wait and see if you're one of the people to get fired? You think you'll be but you don't know for sure.

This is the 2nd company I have gone thru this with in the last year. Worldcom layed off earlier this year, and I have heard thru my previous manager that my name was on the list. Rather than procrastinate, I would rather be pro-active. I would rather take this money to pay off bills, than get caught with my pants down in November. Last November, this company layed off half the building staff.
