Holy smokes! It looks like <a href="http://www.crazyapplerumors.com/"; target="_blank">CARS</a>'s Monday report was right!

[quote]Apple Set To Announce New Laptops, Cereal.

Sources close to the production of the PowerBook and iBook indicate that Apple will announce speed-bumps of both lines later this week. Additionally, sources said Apple will also be announcing a revolutionary new product line for the company: breakfast cereal.

If what Crazy Apple Rumors Site is hearing turns out to be true, the company's first foray into food production will be a stunning success. According to sources, Sugar Frosted Apple-Ohs will stay crunchy in milk longer than any competing cereal and will advance the art of what cereal experts call "clustering" beyond anything currently available.

"Clustering is clumping together the best bits of the cereal into one hunk," said Walter Miller, editor of Cereal Today magazine. "The clusters usually contain a higher ratio of sugar and are then supplemented in the mix with flakes, which are more tasteless, but cheaper to produce."

"The challenge has always been to achieve an adequate level of taste without driving up the cost of each box. Apple's new clustering technology allows Apple-Ohs to shatter the industry standard for cluster-to-flake ratio."

"Plus," Miller added, "they're putting these little Ellen Feiss and Janie Porsche trading cards in every box. These things are going to sell like hot cakes... if you'll pardon the mixed metaphor."

At an Apple event set to take place on Wednesday, Steve Jobs is expected to lead off with new laptops and then move into Apple's new grocery strategy.

Rumors are currently swirling around several additional food products from Apple, including Momoko Kikuchi Instant Ramen and Steve Jobs Fruit Leather.

"In today's grocery environment," Miller said, "it's all about getting shelf space. Since Apple has their own stores that, frankly, have yet to maximize their shelf space potential, they can easily get their products out there."

If Miller's conjecture is true, then expect to see the Apple Stores move quickly from clean lines and open space to shelving reaching the ceiling packed with a variety of food products. Apple Stores are also expected to introduce taste-testing in order to attract hungry mall-goers into the store, a nine-items-or-less checkout counter, and a five cent discount for bringing your own bags.<hr></blockquote> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />
