If I drive down to the U.S. from Canada and pick up a laptop, do I need to fill out the registration card with a U.S address?
Will Apple Canada here honour a machine that was purchased in the States?

are you talking about warranty issue?
If so. You will need to get AppleCare for you laptop (AppleCare in North America includes Canada and US and now worldwide)
Otherwise....not really

Yes Leonis.
Specifically the 1 year warranty from the day of purchase. I rarely ever buy an extended Apple Care but maybe I should consider it.

Just a little reminder.....When you are registering your laptop you have to register as US product.
