I must be one of the weird ones.... I totally don't get the buzz over AR....the only thing that's somewhat interesting is mapping a room to go get furniture for......
Maybe I'm missing something, but games in AR just seem too boring to capture my attention. It's basically just a game that uses the background of a real environment. Until the AR world can actively interact with the real world it's just a gimmick. If you're playing a shooting game and your opponent can hide behind a real couch or duck behind a counter, that would be amazing, but right now the real world is just background candy. I'm sure we'll get there someday, and the potential for using AR for navigation and information on real world environments is exciting, but I just can't get interested in it right now.
