Warning: Obvious eBay Fraud

As topic states, if you're in the market for a 17" imac (as I am) - avoid these auctions at all costs, they're all obvious frauds:

A new account, under 15 days old, with 21 positive feedbacks - ALL from new users, ALL for expensive hardware/electronics who's auctions were ended early. Seller says is in the Antilles but shipping is only $35 to the US.



Beware...



only thing that makes me think otherwise though, is that he accepts escrow.

    Oh wow, he's selling more than 215 items, all listed at the same time - all expensive electronics/computers... How do I report him, or can someone else do it?

    Just wait for our resident eBay scam police officer, murbot, to get in here. He could at least offer some tips of the trade if you're willing to take up the challenge of stopping eBay scams. Good luck, you'll need it.

    is there a way to notify ebay...i am a bit concerned as he has two people who are bidding on a couple of his items that are not his stooges/clones/or himself (all his other "sales" were to new users with no history)....as for the escrow.com thing...i am sure he will as for cash or money order or whatever by email after the sale or direct them to an escrow.com that is a phony site that looks legit....ah, isn't ebay fun....that's why i only buy pez and bobble heads there.... <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> .....g

    The escrow thing has to be watched too, you wouldn't believe the number of false escrow sites set up these days. If a seller wants to use a certain, and obscure sounding escrow service and won't budge on which to use, a little buzzer should go off in your head.



    I'm retiring from the eBay hunting for a while though... I'm getting burned out man.

Just use it wisely, if they get dozens of only "possibly" suspicious auctions, you'll dilute the effectiveness of the guys there who shut the auctions down.

    Another thing to look out for is mails apparently sent from eBay to you requesting you to update your account/add something/verify that you are you etc.



    I have gotten three within the lawst week and reported them to eBay and of course they weren´t from them.



    One of them was this:
