Hey guys got my eMac at last! My first Mac for that matter! I want to first say thanks to everyone in the forum for giving the first class help in help deciding what to get! Any way I went down to a Mac store and looked around and found some great deals. My mom wanted to buy right there and now. So I said it was ok and here I am talking to you guys on my eMac. My first impression is I love the thing. I picked up a OS X help book so I should know to how to work this thing to it's fullest..........by the end of the year.

Glad to have another fanatic on board! Only bad thing about being a Mac fan---you'e going to want nearly EVERYTHING Apple puts out...just gotta learn to be happy with what you got. you sir are smarter than 95% of the computer users out there, so be proud!

Congratulations! I'm not really a "switcher" myself, but we were going to get a Compaq or an IBM "Blue Lighting" Ambra x86 clone (hey, anyone remember IBM's "Blue Lighting" chip? ), before one of my best friends made me see the light.

Anyway, I highly recommend that your first stop be macosxhints.com, and of course, versiontracker.com. Just a fair warning that prolonged visitation to Version Tracker may be hazardous to your health. (or in my case, your GPA.)

Thanks guys! I look forward to being apart of the Mac group. I'll post some pics once I get a camera good enough to do it. Till then I'm reading that book, all 5,000 pages of it. I think I will also check out those sites you posted rampancy, Thanks again!
