FTP In OS X

Hi, can anyone load there ftp server space from there ISP as a disc on the desktop like the idisc of .mac? I'd like to get it working as right now when i put in the address it asks for a pass and then it does nothing.

    It started working for me when I got the latest update to Mac OS X (10.2.4).



    Instead of using "Connect To Server" in the finder, type the ftp.xxxxxx.xxx address into Safari and hit return, that seems to work better for me.



    Annoyingly though, finder FTP is read-only.

    Wish i could get it to that point but nope...it asks for my pass and i put it in and it just hangs....if i put in the wrong pass it comes back asking for the right one which is fine..i put the right one in and nothing....

    Try toggling "Use passive FTP mode" in the proxies tab of Network Preferences.

    Word of warning: Finder FTP currently does not support uploads: once you've connected to the remote server, it will be read-only, although you can upload quite happily in the Terminal.

    IMO your best bet for FTP if you hate command lines is Transmit.
