There never was a good war or bad peace

-Benjamin Franklin-

The more you can increase fear of drugs and crime, welfare mothers, immigrants and aliens, the more you control all the people. "

-Noam Chomsky-

Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

-Hermann Goering-

The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government.

-Thomas Jefferson-

There are two dilemmas that rattle the human skull: How do you hang on to someone who won't stay? And how do you get rid of someone who

won't go?

-Danny DeVito-

True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.

-Martin Luther Kink Jr.-

Either war is obsolete or men are

-Buckminster Fuller-

It is unwise to be too sure of one's own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.

-Mahatma Gandhi-

Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish.

-Albert Einstein-

Ignorance, the root and the stem of every evil.

-Plato-

Do not do to others what angers you if done to you by others.

-Socrates-

Study the past if you would define the future.

-Confucius-

Military intelligence is a contradiction in terms.

-Groucho Marx-

Military justice is to justice what military music is to music.

-Groucho Marx-

More than anything, I'm simply astounded that - amongst all those great thinkers and wise men - Louie f***in' DePalma was somehow scattered in there. Does that freak anyone else out besides myself?

Since when did Danny Devito rise to such heights?

    Sure.

"He who receives an e-mail full of cute - but somewhat ham-handed - quotes from a co-worker that pertain to the modern world is often compelled to copy and paste them into an online message forum in hopes of shocking the resident knuckle-draggers into a higher state of reflection and enlightenment. Most often, this is met with failure, especially when said knuckle-draggers are right on a particular issue."
