icon/file problems

something strange has been happening since i downloaded 10.2.5.



1. icons (in drop down menus) have been randomly disappearing.

2. i cannot make an alias, just the text appears not an icon.

3. i cannot drag files.



after restart #'s 1 & 3 correct themselves only to happen later.

#2 is constant even after restart.



any ideas?

Try two things, repair permissions using the First Aid tab in Disk Utility, then try deleting the Folders:



Library/Caches/

[your home folder]/Library/Caches/

thanks ibrowse, i had already run first aid, but trashing the caches looks to have done it. it's been three hours and no reoccurrence.
