All I know is that on Jan 9th I plan on ordering a new, fast G-something tower. I hope it kicks butt...fingers crossed. My big question now is which video card should I get: the ATI 8500 or nVidia GF3?

Unless there is another revision of the GF3 I would be betting the ATI 8500. It just depends whether or not ATI will actually get a decent driver out the door.

There is some chance that nVidia might actually release the GeForce 4 (NV 25) within the next 3 months, so, if they release it at MWSF, get that, if they don't get the cheaper one (either 8500 or GF3) and the upgrade. IF you don't wnat to upgrade, get the more powerful one, which is still the GF3.
