    It doesn't work: I was trying to see, if you turn on 'check spelling as you type' in Safari while in a TEXTAREA, if the checking stays the next time you type in a TEXTAREA. Which is not the case. Anybody have a solution? I might wanna brush up my English that last teensy bit.

    That'll be fixed in the next version of Safari. It's already fixed in internal builds.
