Apple's latest product

in Future Apple Hardware edited January 2014
Just thought I would post this note I saw on my local ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) website about upcoming events.

"Join us as Apple Computer representatives give a presentation on their latest product. The representatives will also be giving ideas as to where the Mac line may be headed."

The meeting is on October 1 so it could be a new product that they will be talking about. There has already been a meeting since the powermacs were last updated so I am thinking something new. Can't wait to hear where the Mac line is headed too.

    Sounds promising, if nothing refined, at least a little grist for the mill. Keep us posted. Anyone able to check this out in more detail?

    Could we get Kormac or Dorsal to confirm that something new is coming?

    EDIT: Opinion retracted.

    jpp1cd , thx for the link. It sounds kinda like a minor deal then a major event, but thanks for the info anyway. Maybe they actually know something worth sharing? At the very least they can make for some fun rumors.

    Thx again!

    Sorry for the lack of details. It is listed on our school chapters page. <a href="http://acm.missouri.edu/events.asp"; target="_blank">http://acm.missouri.edu/events.asp</a>;

    The new "product" is [Jaguar]. As in, what kind of new gadgetry / hardware does this system allow us to build for Mac users? Or something like that. It's a symposium for hardware designers and developers, right?

    My guess is the new product they are refering to is Jaguar. I have not seen a post from the K-Man, so don't expect any new hardware.

    This is probably related to this....

    I just noticed it. Duh, this is what is fueling a lot of rumors. I guess nothing new then (because this link hints at nada)

    Joking. Not Unlike Myself originally posted a bunch of info on ACM website listings for events, basically saying that this event you speak of isn't listed and implying that you're making this up. So I replied with "busted" as a joke. Not that you're lying, but that NUM was being overly critical of a small detail that can't really be confirmed over the internet because listings aren't always up to date.

    The statement just leaves it open for apple to talk about whatever they want. Apple comes to talk about whatever the latest and greatest thing they released was, and instead of actually having to write what the product is, they just leave it as "latest product" so apple can come in and talk about whatever they want to.

    I thought it was a typo--the plural -s was dropped from "latest products."
