Hard disk info as icon label

I was passing through my local John Lewis the other day and I noticed that the icon for a G4's hard disk said the usual "Macintosh HD", followed by statistics such as available hard disk space.

How on earth do you enable that?

when you're at the finder, go to "View" "Show view options"

then click on the "Show item info" box.

The icon preview, item info, text size, and label position options were all new for 10.2, FYI.
