X11 Problem: KDE and TWM Running At The Same Time....
Hi all... I'm having a problem... Whenever I try and run my X11 and I wanna run KDE it needs to run from within TWM.... Is that because I installed XDarwin and that's default WM? This is really starting to annoy me... I wanna try and run KDE independantly of Quartz and Aqua under the >console mode..... When I try "startx" it opens up TWM... When I try "startkde" it says it can't connect to the X server. How do I set my .xinitrc file to automatically open and start KDE when I start X11 or when I start a >console session? I had it working in the past but then I deleted the whole Fink installation because I needed the hard drive space. Now I'm willing to give it another go because the stable build of KDE 3.1.1 came out and I wanna give it a shot.
Oh and before I forget... I can never get the sound working outside of Aqua and Quartz when I try to run KDE under >console... How can THAT be fixed?
