    This is a very interesting follow-on to the Ars-Technica article from earlier in the week, and points out some of the strengths of the PPC 970 over the P4 design...a very good read. I did note that Mr. Every says the PPC 970 has L3 cache, but I seem to recall that the 970 has no L3 controller or cache. Does anyone know for sure? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

    The 970 has no provision for L3 cache, and no need for it.

    This article is full of inaccuracies. He has the stuff about buses completely wrong.
