Safari :: 4 threads maximum ?

If I'm downloading four files via Safari, I'm unable to browse. Period.



Is there a way to fix/change this in Safari?



[the only loophole is to use a different browser when this happens]

    Today this one site's ad server was down, so the page loaded but Safari kept waiting for the ads to come in. I had opened like 10 pages or something in different tabs, and towards the end they just wouldn't load. Had I not found out about this limit a few days before I probably would've just assumed it a weird bug and restarted Safari, instead I just went to each tab and stopped them all.



    One of those things that has repercussions you wouldn't otherwise think about.
