iPod Disk Repair Screen

I got this screen the other day when i plugged in my iPod:



No issues were found with the iPod, fortunately. But do these repairs/checks happen on a regular basis or only when the iPod encounters a problem? Could there be something wrong with my iPod?

    its like the ipod ran a diagnostic test, found something was wrong so it fixed the problem... there is a way to force this to happen, but im not sure how...

    I wouldn't be worried... im sure you can find more info at www.ipodhacks.com or some other iPod-centric site... be sure to post back here with what you find tho

    Based on the internal clock setting, your iPod does turn itself on at midnight for checks, updates and repairs.
