When is your G5 shipping?

Ordered mine yesterday around 1pm pacific.



Looks like they'll be shipping later than August:

    I'll place my order a few days before they are expected to ship. I have to pay a CC down a little bit before I can order. I was planning on ordering about 2 months after the keynote anyways. If the Specs were true, and they are, so it's a Dual 2GHZ for me too. I'm hoping Apple gets us a better Nvidia card in there before I order though. The one they are offering is for sh*t. I think I'll get better results in Maya with my GeForce 3 TI. , If your going to say get the ATI your joking. ATI sucks dog b@ll$ in Maya from what I hear, and read.



    I am excited though. I like new case. It looks like a Machine. (like the terminator)

    I was curious if anyone had ship dates in August, but so far it sounds like start of September is the earliest for any dual G5.

    I bet there will be one G5 somewhere in a Apple store for sale at the end of August, so SJ can say that they started shipping in August. The majority will probably ship in September/October .

    I ordered a dual a couple of hours after the keynote through the Fed. Employees program. My order shows



    'on or before Sept 2' too.



    I left it a stock model hoping to expedite things a bit, I will let you know when it arrives.

    I ordered as soon as the Apple Store came back up (figured the credit card does not get dinged, so why not get in line?)

    I haven't been charged yet for my order. I assume I won't be until the computer has shipped.



    The iPod I ordered at the same time shipped today and my bank hasn't shown a charge for it yet.

    My brother see his reseller today in Paris, because he was interested by the new G5



    The guy said he called Apple, and they said to him, that the powermac G5 where not in production already. yes no G5 in the Apple's assembly lines. and 1000 towers have been ordered in France. Don't expect them before september.



    He said that he has the info of the new towers from Apple only three days before the keynote. But their wholesalers announce them this info a week before.

    You can get about 4 gig of ram independent for about £400 quid. (Sterling.) I wouldn't buy Apple prices on ram...



    4 gig ram dual G5 with the Radeon 9800? Run like s*** off a shovel.







    I can't wait to run Lightwave on one of these babies...

    I ordered my dual G5 at a local store, MacEdge, earlier today. They wanted 15% down, so I had to pay a little up front, but now I'm first in line for the first dual G5 they receive.



    I could have gone to an official Apple Store, but I decided to use the closer, local business -- and I'm hoping that they aren't given second-class status regarding when they receive their first G5s.

    I ordered this morning through my local Applestore in the UK, with my Student Discount...



    I ordered a Dual 2ghz machine with the CTO option of a Bluetooth module...



    I have been quoted an estimated delivery date of 1st or 2nd week of September. \



    However it was 1st or 2nd week of August for the single G5 machines...

    Why is there no Nvidia card in the 2GHz model? I need Nvidia... A better one than the one that is in the lower models though.



    Also, Where can a person get the 1GHz DDR stics? I can only find it in 512MHz. Are they in existance yet, or is Apple having them custom made?



    I'm going to need 8 of them.

    i'm guessing i'll be able to pick one up from an Apple Store before the item will ship from the online store.



    just a guess based on what i've seen happen in the past. Apple is really trying to push their retail outlets.



    also, i fully expect the low end machine to ship much sooner than the DP high end machines.
