Global IT Contractor Markets
I'm currently contracting(self employed) in the UK doing mainly Unix/Oracle admin. The contract market here is only just beginning to recover from the last couple of years of recession. Hourly rates are still poor but the number of jobs available seem to be on the increase as is, unfortunately, the number of companies outsourcing their operations to India etc.
I will soon be moving to Australia, visa permitting, so i'm curious about the state of the market there but i am also interested how the rest of the world market is responding.
